JETT: Update One

*NOTE: This post represents not only my 100th Legacy Girls post, but the official beginning my first Generation Two update. Enjoy!

Dear Diary,

I was only a little girl when my mother died, but I have some good memories of her. She used to read to me every night before bed. I'll never forget the songs we sang together either. My favorite was always "You Are My Sunshine".

The last time I saw her was just as I was going to bed for the night. She was in the kitchen with The Count. He's my father.


She was talking about somebody named Beans and how she wanted to trick her into letting them have another baby. I was really excited, and thought that I would be getting a baby brother or sister. Then, the next morning, Mommy died.

I have a secret best friend, one that I can't tell The Count about. He knows that I know him, but doesn't know how much I like him. My friend told me that there is a thing that can bring dead people back to life. I thought he was lying at first, but his big brother said it was true.

When I grow up, I'm going to find this thing and bring my Mommy back.


My Mr Nanny, Carl, gave me a really special birthday gift. He painted my room pink for me, and bought me a new matching quilt. I don't think The Count has seen it yet. He wouldn't like it at all.


The Count actually cooked me dinner tonight, if that's what you want to call it. It was just the Macaroni and Cheese from a box, but he was pretty proud of himself. Then he started talking about my future and how I was going to save the Vampire race.


I told him that vampirism isn't a race. You aren't born with it, you change into one when you're bitten. So technically, I wouldn't be saving any race, just the ability to kill people.

He asked me where I heard that, so I told him. It was on the Discovery Channel, of course.


Then my Mr Nanny sat down to eat too. I thought maybe The Count would stop, but he kept going on and on about how it was time for me to start my training with Aria, and how I'm going to save them all and it's my destiny and blah blah blah.

I don't want to do his stupid training and I don't want to be his stupid Protector. It's his fault that Mommy's dead. I hate him. I can't wait until I'm old enough to leave here. I asked my Mr Nanny to take me with him when he leaves, but he said he can't.

I have another secret too. I can still see Mommy. She's not always here, but sometimes I see her floating around. She looks sad, like she's not sure if she's dead or not.


And she's not happy with The Count either.



Sometimes I see her watching him, and she looks very angry. I hope she scares him to death. Than I can live with my Mr Nanny until I grow up. I wonder if you can even kill a Vampire that way?

Ok Diary, now I'm going to tell you my biggest secret. I'm going to tell you who my best friend is, but you have to promise not to tell The Count.


My best friend is a boy named Beau Broke. He's in my class at school. I tell The Count that I'm going to the library, but I really go over to Beau's house.


Yesterday Beau said I was the prettiest girl he'd ever seen in his whole entire life. I told him he was the prettiest boy I'd ever seen in my whole entire life. Then he said that if he was grown up, he'd marry me. So we promised each other that when we grow up, we'd marry each other.

But I can't tell The Count that I like Beau. He'll ground me forever.

Uh oh. The Count is coming and I'm supposed to be sleeping. Good night!
